She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1980 and has practiced in both Melbourne and across Australia. She now restricts her working week to Thursdays and Fridays, devoting her time to being the best doctor she can be by avoiding the current trend of quick fixes.
Women’s health, from adolescence to menopause and beyond, has always been an important focus of Dr Edwards’ work but she regards taking care of men’s health equally as important. She is also qualified in obstetrics and while not delivering babies anymore, she continues to care for pregnant women through the shared antenatal care offered by most Melbourne obstetric hospitals.
